We're looking for an Account Executive to join our team in the Boulder area. Remote applicants will be considered if you prove to be a good fit for Vafels.

About Vafels:

Vafels is a rapidly growing food startup that offers plant-based versions of European-style wafels. We are committed to offering the highest quality plant-based foods made with ethically conscious and environmentally sustainable ingredients to field the human body.


  • Identify and prospect potential clients, including cafés, grocery stores, food service locations, outdoor lifestyle stores and other vendors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients.
  • Coordinate product samples to qualified leads where applicable.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Close deals and generate revenue.
  • Provide ongoing account management to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to ensure successful product launches and promotions.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and client interactions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Account Executive or similar role in the food industry.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-starter with a passion for food and sustainability.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for transportation.
  • Availability to work weekends and occasional evenings.


This is a commission-only position. The commission structure is based on a percentage of sales generated by the account executive.
